Overview

DreamLooom is designed with your privacy as a top priority. All data processing happens on your device, and your personal dream content is never transmitted to external servers.

Data Collection

DreamLooom collects the following data solely to provide its core functionality:

  • Voice recordings: Audio files of your dream descriptions (up to 60 seconds each)
  • Transcriptions: Text converted from your voice recordings
  • Keywords: Three keywords extracted from each dream
  • Generated images: Artwork created based on your dream keywords
  • Metadata: Date and time of entries, app version

Data Processing

All data processing occurs entirely on your device:

  • Voice transcription: Uses Apple's Speech framework (on-device)
  • Keyword extraction: Uses Apple Intelligence Foundation Models (on-device)
  • Image generation: Uses Image Playground (on-device)

No dream content is sent to external servers or third-party services.

Data Storage

Your data is stored in two locations:

  • iCloud (CloudKit Private Database): Primary storage for all dream entries, accessible only with your Apple ID
  • Local device cache: For offline access and faster performance

Your iCloud data persists even if you delete the app and is automatically restored when you reinstall.

Data Sharing

DreamLooom does not share your data with any third parties. Your dream entries are stored only in your private iCloud account and are not accessible to us or anyone else.

Data Deletion

You have full control over your data:

  • Delete individual dream entries from within the app
  • Delete all data (including iCloud data) from the Settings screen
  • Remove local cache by uninstalling the app

Permissions

DreamLooom requires the following permissions:

  • Microphone: Required to record your voice describing dreams
  • Speech Recognition: Required to transcribe your recordings

You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Children's Privacy

DreamLooom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Analytics

DreamLooom does not use any analytics or tracking services. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or any other telemetry.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
